Cap Enfants Header Cergy

The Cap Enfants day care center in the Saint Christophe business campus in Cergy was built in 2016. It is just one of the many advantages offered to employees on the campus, an extraodinary work environment developed amidst green surroundings.

It is easily accessible just off the A15 highway, or by public transport : bus no. 40 or the RER A (12 minutes by foot from the Cergy-Pontoise station).
The center’s 422 m² inside surface area can welcome 30 children aged between 10 weeks and 4 years.

The center’s hours are also adapted to suit the schedule of parent-employees, and is open from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 7:30pm.

The green surroundings of the Cergy day care center

The Saint Christophe campus is not like an ordinary business park. It’s layout is unique, being located among 35 hectares of greenery. The Saint Christophe natural park where our day care center is located has a small lake, farm animals, and even a private windmill!

Children can benefit from this exceptional setting every day. The bay windows of the two spaces let in plenty of light and give the impression of being in the park itself.

A secure, private pontoon allows children to walk above the lake to see reflections in the water: here, everything is designed to highlight nature’s beauty!
Every day, young children can see an amazing range of wildlife, visible from the play equipment: sheep, ducks, fish, herons, and more. They are able to make many discoveries, and especially like seeing the rabbits hopping around!

The park is maintained by a number of professionals, and children have already been visited by the park’s beekeeper who explained what he does, talked to them about the bees’ home and of course got them to taste some honey.

This day care center has places available!

How the Cergy day care center is organized

Inside the day care center, the sunny atrium, a play area with freely accessible games, promotes interaction between children of different ages. This welcoming space is home to the Musical Bubble®, which allows children to journey around the world.

Endorsed by internationally-recognized pyschosociologist, Jean Epstein, and backed up by a research project led by INSERM (the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research), our teaching methods allow children to increase their vocabulary by 70% before starting school, whatever their background.
Each area in the Cergy day care center has been designed to promote the development of early childhood motor and cognitive skills. Using the activities offered by the educational team and the freely accessible games, each child can grow at their own pace while increasing their level of autonomy.

Located at the center of the atrium, the Musical Bubble® is a visual landmark for children, who are free to discover and listen to sound and music, and to see the associated images throughout the day.

As well as communal areas, each section has a bathroom where children will gradually become more independent in using the toilet. They can choose between using a pottie or a small toilet, and can develop at their own pace.

Because sleep is essential for young children, we prefer staggered waking which takes into account the rhythms of each child.
Children eat in a seperate dedicated space which enables childen to find their spatio-temporal bearings throughout the day. They eat in small groups using tables and chairs adapted to their size.

Meals are prepared by a specialist early childhood dietician. As in all of Cap Enfants’ day care centers, 50% of the food used is local, organic produce.

The Cergy day care center educational team

The team of our Cergy day care center is made up of qualified professionals, trained in Cap Enfants’ teaching methods to support children in their emotional and cognitive development.
These early chilhood educators, childcare assistants, and childcare helpers complement each other in working with children. This team is led by the center’s manager who is a qualified early childhood educator.

To encourage interaction and the discovery of music onsite, a partnership with the Sophie Legris music school in Pontoise was introduced from the start of the new school year in 2016. Each month, students from the school have had the opportunity to rehearse and audition in front of our young children, delighted to experience the joy of live music!
